A night to remember: celebrating the best of LGBTQ+ culture

The brief

The Virgin Atlantic Attitude Awards, an annual event hosted by Attitude magazine to celebrate the best in LGBTQ+ culture, asked us to produce an awards show that would become a night to remember, and not just for the winners.

The brief was to create something that audiences would resonate with deeply, whether they were in the room or experiencing the event through media coverage.

What we did

With headline artists including The Scissor Sisters and Calum Scott, speeches from award winners Russell Tovey, Elizabeth Hurley and Dannii Minogue, and moving performances including a musical tribute to the late drag icon The Vivienne, expectations were high. The question was how to bring all these strands of celebration together in a way that would be meaningful for the evening's audience and also spark conversation across global media.

Working in collaboration with our trusted partners, we transformed London's legendary Roundhouse using a combination of creative, environment-driven design, production and technical staging techniques. The result was a space that felt intimate, inclusive and suitably spectacular.

Onstage and off, every element was carefully considered. Our expert photography and video captured that sense of joy and appreciation, and fast-turnaround social edits meant the Attitude team could share visuals quickly, carrying the spirit of the event beyond the Roundhouse doors.
